Bhubaneswar : Tightening its noose on corrupt practices, the vigilance wing of Odisha police have registered 429 cases under prevention of corruption act against 707 persons during the course of 2018.
Those booked under PCA include 542 State government employees and officials, said official sources.
Cases lodged for corrupt practices pertain to trap cases, disproportionate asset cases and acts of omission & commission in implementation of government-funded welfare schemes, said officials.
The vigilance sleuths booked and arrested 12 class-1 officers, 10 class-2 officers, besides 161 class-3 employees besides grade 4 employees and private individuals.
Rs 94.24 crore disproportionate assets were detected during raid 2018 while it stood at Rs 67.30 crore in 2017 year.
