Lucknow: After the defeat in the Lok Sabha elections, the Congress is in the mood of big change. After Karnataka, now the Congress has dissolved all the district committees in Uttar Pradesh. Congress legislator Ajay Kumar Lallu has been appointed in charge of the reshuffle of Eastern Uttar Pradesh organization. The charge of Western UP has not been announced yet.

In a press release issued by the General Secretary KC Venugopal, it said that a two-member committee has been formed on every seat for the recent assembly elections. Apart from this, a three-member disciplinary committee has been constituted, which will take action on the complaints received. Let us state that after the Lok Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh, 12 assembly seats have been vacant, on which by election will be held soon. Congress wants to get out of defeat through the by-election.

Congress legislator Ajay Kumar said that Congress President Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi will do everything possible to fulfil the responsibility that we have entrusted to them. In today’s changing political environment, there is a big challenge to stand up for the organization, but we will work towards strengthening the party through contact, dialogue and struggle.

In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections after the 2017 Assembly elections, Congress has faced a major defeat in Uttar Pradesh. Congress President Rahul Gandhi could not save his seat in Amethi, he had to face the defeat from BJP’s Smriti Irani. While the Congress has entrusted Priyanka Gandhi’s entry into politics prior to the election, the responsibility of Eastern Uttar Pradesh has been entrusted.
