Bhubaneswar: Describing Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik as architect of corruption, the state unit of BJP announced a month-long agitation programme to highlight all pervasive corruption in the Patnaik-led government.
The party would launch a signature campaign and would cover one crore people. A memorandum carrying the signature would be sent to President to force the government to implement Ayushman Bharat health insurance scheme, Basanta Panda, BJP state unit president, told reporters here today.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is depriving the people of the state from the benefits of central schemes such as Ayushman Bharat on political consideration, he said.
The party would stage demonstration in front of all block offices of the State from October 27 to October 30 to highlight prevailing corruptive practices in developmental projects and PC (percentage and commission) culture. The PC culture has become the order of the day in Odisha government. As a result, development has taken a backseat. Poor people are being deprived of benefits of welfare projects as PC has taken firm grip in governance, he said.
