Bhubaneswar: Amidst tight security measures, the Odisha Council for Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) plus two examination for science, humanity and commerce streams began on Thursday.
The examination today commenced in 1,093 exam centres across the State while around 3.70 lakh students are appearing the examination this year. The examination will continue up to March 31.
The examinees are barred from carrying mobile phones and smart watches to the examination centres. In view of reports of alleged lapses in the conduct of High School Certificate examination, the CHSE authorities have heightened measures to keep tab on any form of improprieties in the examination. All the examination centres have been brought under CCTV surveillance. A five-tier squad system has been constituted to curb exam malpractices and to prevent students from resorting to unfair means in the examination, CHSE officisals said.
