Ranchi: On Wednesday two special CBI courts of Ranchi have been released former Bihar CM and RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav on interim bail for 6 weeks, on the orders of Jharkhand High Court. Lalu Yadav has left for Patna. Earlier, the order of interim bail granted for the treatment of Lalu reached the special CBI courts from the High Court and both the special courts granted their bail.
Lalu’s lawyer Prabhat Kumar reached the special CBI court, where the process of filling different bail bonds in the three cases related to the fodder scam was completed.
At the same time, with the bail granted to Lalu Yadav, the court has imposed a number of restrictions on him, including not talking to the media, not joining political programs. Apart from this, Lalu also has to give details of his treatment to the court. As per the order of the High Court, Lalu has to return to jail to complete his sentence, 42 days after May 16.
Lalu had returned to Ranchi on May 14 after joining his eldest son, Tej Pratap Yadav’s marriage, and officials sent him to Birsa Munda Jail in judicial custody because the order for interim bail was not reached in the special court of CBI.
