Exit Poll: Challenge to save the position and government before Kamal Nath

New Delhi: Kamal Nath, CM of Madhya Pradesh, has spent only six months in power, that the results of the Lok Sabha elections in front of him are not less than any ordeal. In the state, if the election results come against the Congress, then in front of Kamal Nath, there will be a challenge to save his government along with his position in the party.

According to the figures of Exit Polls, BJP is projected to get 26 to 28 seats out of 29 Lok Sabha seats of Madhya Pradesh and 1 to 3 seats for Congress. If these figures turn into conclusions then Kamal Nath may have to face a double challenge. Firstly, there will be a challenge to save government and to maintain their status in the party.

In fact, the Congress which returns to power after 15 years in Madhya Pradesh, has kept great expectations in the Lok Sabha elections. In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, the Congress got only two seats. But in the last assembly elections held in the year 2018, the Congress had ended the exile of power after dusting the BJP. In such a scenario, Kamal Nath left the Congress leader Digvijay Singh and Jyotiraditya Scindia behind and became chief minister.

However, the Congress was away from the magical figure of majority. Of the 231 seats in the state, Congress got 114 and BJP got 109 seats. The BJP had remained 7 seats behind the majority figures, whereas the Congress too emerged as the biggest party. The Congress formed the government with the support of 122 MLAs, including SP-BSP and 4 independents. But after the exit polls of the Lok Sabha elections, and the attitude of the BJP leaders, there are cloud of crisis on Kamal Nath government.

It would not be wrong to say that the political journey of Indira’s beloved Kamal Nath will move ahead with what kind of Rahul Gandhi’s Congress and in Madhya Pradesh, which will depend on the outcome of the Lok Sabha elections coming on May 23.
