New Delhi: The Institute of Banking Personal Selection (IBPS) has announced the exam dates for other examinations, including Probationary Officer (PO) and CWE Clerk. A large number of candidates will participate in these examinations. Bank PO is a challenging test, for which the right strategy is very important.
When will the examination
IBPS will conduct preliminary examination from October 13, 2018 for PO, while the main examination will be held on November 18. At the same time, the initial examination of RRB CWE (Officer Scale-1 and Office Assistant) will be held on 11th, 12th, 18th, 19th, 25th of August and 1st September, whereas main examination for Officer Scale 1, 30th September 2018 and Office Assistant will be on October 7. The initial examination for the clerk will be held on 8th, 9th, 15th and 16th December 2018 and the main examination will be held on 20th January 2019.
How to prepare
According to Sumit Jha, who has been elected to the post of PO in SBI, there is not much time left for the IBPS exam and in this respect, much of the effort should be taken to understand the new concepts. Jha says that strengthen the hold on students who have learned so far. He said that speed is important in the banking examination and in such a way, while keeping the questions, take special care of your speed and accuracy. Solve more and more online mock tests and sample papers.
Jha said that the more paper samples will solve, chances for the selection will increase. He said that if Concept is clear, then you can use the maximum number of short cuts, tricks in the set’s practice, but it is important to remember them as well. However, it must be very careful as many times there is a lot of confusion in the short cut affair. Speed will be good with online exam.
Jha, who has given guidance to the students preparing for banking, said that the most important of the banking exam is Time Management and after seeing the questions for it, learn how to find time. There are times when some questions are confusing which needs to be avoided and by doing so, there will be no problem in solving questions at the time of exam.
Jha, who has succeeded in the IBPS Po Examination, has said that for this examination the students will have to strengthen their basics and for this, students should practice numeric frequently. He said that students should read daily newspapers for English. This will not only strengthen the dictionary, but topics of current affairs will also be covered which will be very helpful during the exam. Practice is very important for mathematical questions and for this it should be given time for different topics every day.
For mathematics there should be more focus on topics related to data interpretation, number system, profit-loss, interest, percentage etc. He said that for the questions of the Reason, students should focus more on positions, blood relation, and coding-decoding and emphasize student practice for this.
What is the Exam pattern?
Candidates will be selected in three phases for this recruitment, in which the first phase will be preliminary examination and after this main examination will conduct and selected candidate will call for group discussion and interview. The initial examination will be of 100 marks in which 100 questions will be asked and all questions will be answered in 60 minutes. Exam is based on computer based test. In this 35 questions of reasoning will be asked and this question will be of 35 points. There will be 35 questions of quantitative aptitude, which will be 35 points. Apart from these 30 questions of English of 30 numbers will be asked.
