Keonjhar Chariot Recognised As World’s Tallest

Keonjhar : The chariot of Lord Balabhadra, his younger brother Lord Jagannath and their sister Devi Subhadra in Keonjhar has been accorded recognition of being world’s tallest one.

India Book of Records has certified the 72-feet-tall chariot as the tallest one across the globe, said Keonjhar Sub Collector, Somnath Pradhan.

The chariot here is measured at 72 feet and is taller than the Nandighosh of Lord Jagannath at Puri which stands at 45.6 feet.

The 16th century Lord Baldevjew temple which houses the presiding deities was built by then feudatory ruler Laxmi Narayan Bhanjadeo
