Bhubaneswar: A man presumed dead has returned home in Odisha’s Bargarh district much to the joy of his family members.
Jitu Dandsana (19), a native of Piplipali village under Paikmal police station jurisdiction was untraceable since December 7, 2016.
Following complaint lodged by Dandsena’s parents, police had swung into action by arresting Halu Gurla (22) and Raghab Naik (22) of Bargarh town on murder charge.
The duo had launched murderous attack on Dandsena and dumped him near Jeera riverbed.
Jitu who was very much alive had regained consciousness instead of going home had gone to Delhi. He later shifted to Kolkata. He did some petty jobs in both the metros. Later a vendor in Kolkata coming to know of his plight informed the bereaved family.
It’s the happiest thing to have happened in my life. By God’s grace, I have got back my son flesh and blood, said Jitu’s father Manoranjan Dandsana.
Meanwhile the police have moved to drop the murder charge slapped against the accused duo.
We are going to intimate the court of the latest development with a prayer for altering the murder charge into an attempt to murder case.
