Maoists Camp Raided, Explosives Seized

Sambalpur: The Central Reserve Security Force (CRPF) personnel today busted a Maoists camp in Pravasini reserve forest area of Sambalpur district and seized explosives from their hideout in the rense forest.

Acting on a specific intelligence report, the CRPF personnel engaged in anti-naxal operation raided the camp in inaccessible terrains of the reserve forest.

The armed cadres had however fled from the camp. The explosive substances included 49 numbers of gelatine sticks, 45 numbers of commercial electric detonators. The red rebels were planning an orchestrated attack on the security forces engaged in anti-maoists operation, said Commandant CRPF, Jamankira base camp, Pramod Kumar Sahu

Intense combing operation is continuing at the area to flush out the left wing extremists, he added.
