New Delhi: Maruti Suzuki has made several major changes in its budget car Alto according to the new safety norms implemented from April. Under this change, the K2 model of Alto has included airbags, anti-lock braking system (ABS) and parking sensor. There have been many other interesting changes in this model of the company. Let’s know about the new features of the Alto K10 model.
Updated Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 includes new safety features – Electronic Break force (EBD) with ABS, driver airbag, reverse parking sensor and speed alert system. Apart from this, the seat belt for driver and passenger has been updated with the reminder. Along with new safety features, the Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 is now the ‘AIS-145 Safety Norms’ component. However, with the upgrade, prices of all the variants of Maruti Suzuki’s Alto K10 have also increased by about 25 thousand rupees.
The starting price of the new Alto K10 starts from Rs 3.35 lakh to Rs 4.44 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). On the other hand, in the other parts of the country, the ex-showroom has been priced from 3.75 lakh rupees to 4.54 lakh rupees. These new prices are applicable from April 11, 2019.
The new Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 has a 1.0-liter petrol engine. It generates the power of 67 bhp and the pickup torque of 90 Nm. 5-speed manual transmission with this engine is available. Also get an auto gear shift (AGS) option here. Apart from this, the 1.0-liter engine is also available with CNG option. The CNG variant generates torque of 58 bhp and 78 Nm torque and it has a 5-speed gearbox.
