Naveen Meets Modi, Reiterates Special Status Demand For Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi and reiterated his demand for special category status for Odisha.

Patniak also raised the demand for hike in coal royalty to the State.

Patnaik during the course of his meeting with the Prime Minister also sought for allocation of Rs 5,0000 crore and five lakh pucca house to cyclone-battered Odisha.

“I congratulated the prime minister for the electoral success of his party and raised various issues for the larger interest of the State”, Patnaik told reporters in New Delhi.

There was no discussion over BJD MP becoming the Deputy Speaker of Lok Sabha or on the implementation of Ayushman Bharat Yojana implementation, Patnaik said replying to reporters queries.
