Sambalpur: BJD supremo and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Sunday predicted hung verdict in 2019 parliamentary polls with no party getting majority of its own.
Patnaik addressing a poll rally today in Kuchinda under Sambalpur Lok Sabha constituency said “The regional party like BJD will play a key role in formation of central government as no national party will get majority this time. Odisha voters will vote for party’s conch symbol as the party will fight for the legitimate rights of Odia people at the centre”.
Accusing the Centre of having no sympathy towards the farmers of Odisha, he said “The central government has no time to deal with the problems of Odisha farmers. BJP-led central government has stopped ‘Kalia’, the direct cash transfer scheme for farmers”.
No one can stop KALIA till I am alive, he said while listing out the achievements of his government in the poll rally.
