Now Modi’s pic on train ticket, 4 officials suspended

New Delhi: The Election Commission is continuously getting strict on the campaign for Lok Sabha elections. Effect of commission’s strictness has shown after imposing ban on many leaders for campaigning on Monday. Railway has suspended its 4 officials for publishing a photograph of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on train tickets. The Commission issued notice to the railway department about this picture.

On Monday, the Supreme Court rebuked the Election Commission for not taking strict action. After which, the commission first banned the campaigning of leaders, now the effect is showing in other areas too.

According to sources in the Ministry of Railways, the picture of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was published on the ticket of Third AC class of Ganga Satluj Express (13308). This train was going from Barabanki to Varanasi. A complaint was lodged in the Election Commission regarding this.

After which the Election Commission sent a notice to the Railways and now the Railways have suspended 4 officials while taking action against their employees. The advertisement of housing for everyone was printed on the railway ticket for the Pradhanmantri Awas Yojana (Prime minister housing scheme) (Rural).

A photo of PM Narendra Modi was printed behind the ticket, a person tweeted about it. There was a dispute. The Election Officer has told the Central Election Commission that the railway has suspended officials, responsible for this, along with the railway board also banned old ticket rolls.

Let us tell you that before this there was a dispute over the election campaign in the Railways. In addition to the picture of PM Modi on the railway ticket, tea was being distributed in the ‘Mai Bhi Chowkidar’ printed cup.
