Gorakhpur Mahotsav commences in the city of CM Yogi on the lines of 'Saifi'

Lucknow: In CM’s city UP Govt is going to launch 'Gorakhpur Mahotsav' in the ground of Gorakhpur University from today (January 11). The three-day festival will be held from January 11 to January 13. This Mahotsav is being compared with the ‘Saifai Mahotsav’ organized by the SP government. Chief Guest of the program will be the Governor and winding up by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Apart from film artist the program of local resident artist and children will be organized in the Mahotsav.  

After the start from the last year, the Gorakhpur Mahotsav is now being done at the big and the grand level after becoming Yogi Adityanath as the CM.

Bollywood Night, Bhojpuri Night, Kathak, Yoga, Ghazals, Bhajan, Science Fair, Quiz Contest, Sports and Cultural Programs will also include in this Mahotsav. The most important thing about this festival is that 33 stalls have been installed for book lovers too. The German Hangar pandal has been installed. There is arrangement for 7000 people sitting in Pandal. More than 350 stalls have been set up in the festival.

Artists like Malini Awasthi, Shankar Mahadevan, Shan, Anuradha Paudwal, Lalit Pandit, Ravikishan, Anoop Jalota will perform. It has been said by the BJP government that the Gorakhpur Mahotsav will be full of Indianism, nationalism and cultural programs. U.P. Governor Ram Naik will inaugurate this Mahotsav.

The program, which will perform for three days, will be inaugurated by UP Governor Ram Naik and winding up by CM Yogi Adityanath of UP.

Artists like Malini Awasthi, Shankar Mahadevan, Shan, Anuradha Paudwal, Lalit Pandit, Ravikishan, Anoop Jalota will give their performance.

Events will be in the Mahotsav

Competitions like cultural events, debate competition, talent hunt, science exhibition, badminton, wrestling, Bollywood Night, Bhojpuri Night, Kathak, Yoga, Ghazal, Bhajan, Science Fair, and Quiz Competition will also be organized in Gorakhpur Mahotsav.

German hangar pandal Planted

In the festival, the German hangar pandal has been installed; arrangements have been made to seat 7000 people in Pandal. More than 350 stalls have been installed. Stalls have been set up for 33 stalls for book lovers and 70 stall craftsmen crew.

Logo created for the Mahotsav

A logo is also designed for the Gorakhpur Mahotsav, whose slogan is “Aroh-Tamaso-Jyoti” means Walking from the darkness to light). Ceremony closing will be done from Anup Jalota's Bhajan evening.

Tourism will boost

Officials say that behind the Gorakhpur Mahotsav, the aim is to promote tourism in the state.

Saifai Mahotsav

From 1997 in December of every year, the Samajwadi Party’s CM used to organize the Saifai Mahotsav in their hometown Etawah district.
