Rs 50 Lakh Cash Seized, Bankers Arrested

Keonjhar: Keonjhar district police today arrested three employees of a private bank after they were caught yesterday carrying Rs 50 lakh unaccounted cash. Manas Rout, branch Manager of Indusind bank, Saroj Behera, the sales officer of the bank besides the security guard were intercepted yesterday with the cash stashed in the car in which they travelling.

They were detained near Basudebpur under Champua police station jurisdiction. The bankers had failed to corroborate the source of the huge cache of currency notes. The currency notes were not accounted in the bank. As they failed to offer satisfactory explanation, police arrested them by booking under section-109, Indian Penal Code, Smruti Prava Pradhan, Inspector Sadar police station
