New Delhi: Indian all-rounder Yusuf Pathan has been found to be positive in the Dope Test during the domestic season's last match, after which the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) suspended him from August 15, 2017, but his suspension will end on January 14, 2018 midnight.
Due to the suspension of Yusuf's mid-January 14th, he will now be available for the players' auction of IPL-11 which will be held on January 27 and 28. The BCCI started suspending the five-month suspension of Yusuf after some other rules of the board and various circumstances, starting 15 August 2017, which will end on 14 January 2018.
Yusuf, who is getting relief soon after suspension, said, "I want to reassure the BCCI, the Baroda Cricket Association and my fans again that I will be alerted about whatever I will eat. I should have sought information from the BCCI Anti-Doping Helpline before taking medicines."
The BCCI gave this information in an official statement on Tuesday. The board said that Yusuf is being suspended for violating the doping rules. He accidentally drank cough syrup, which contained restricted substance. Joseph had accepted that he had taken this syrup unconsciously and there was no mistake in it.
