Bhubaneswar: Mr. Bibhu Prasad Panda, a Ph.D scholar at the SOA (Deemed to be University) here, has been felicitated as a Young Scientist at the Young Scientists’ Conference held as part of the 4th India International Science Festival (IISF) held at Lucknow this week.
Mr. Panda, a student of Environmental Sciences at the Institute of Technical Education and Research (ITER), SOA’s faculty of engineering and technology, was awarded the third prize under the theme “Biodiversity and Environment”.
The India International Science Festival (IISF) is conceivably the biggest platform of its kind in Asia that brings together students, researchers, artists and the general public to celebrate the nation’s achievements. Over 2000 delegates attended the festival where 600 selected presentations under three themes drew attention. The IISF was organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Earth Sciences, in association with Vijnana Bharati at the Indira Gandhi Prastisthan between October 5 to 8 last.
