New Delhi: The Aadhaar card is the most important document in today’s era. The government has also made the Aadhaar card mandatory for many schemes. Apart from this, Aadhaar card is also mandatory for many financial transactions or income tax returns. In this case, it is necessary that your Aadhaar will be in active mode all the time. But if you have not kept your base in active mode for 3 years then you may have to face difficulties.
Indeed, the Aadhar card which is not in active mode for 3 years will become deactivate. According to the media report, officials of UIDAI say that if the Aadhaar is not linked to your bank account or PAN in the last 3 years, then it can be de-activated. Apart from this, the EPFO can keep the Aadhaar active in other transactions such as giving support details to pension claiming.
To keep the base in active mode, first you need to go to the homepage of the UIDAI website (uidai.gov.in). Here the option of ‘Verify base number’ is given below the Base Services tab.
On this option you will have to click on ‘Verify Aadhaar Number’. On doing so, a new page will be open. After entering the base number and the capture world in the new page, click on the validity.
After doing this, if the green color is correct, it means that your base is active. If your base is not active, the message will be displayed on the website.
