’11 Lakh Connected With Nation Building Campaign In 24 Hours,’ Claims AAP

New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party, which has launched its Rashtra Nirman (nation-building) campaign, fuelled by its resounding victory in the Delhi Assembly polls, has claimed that around 11 lakh people have already been associated with the campaign within 24 hours of its launch.

The party had issued a missed call number – 9871010101 – through which people can join the campaign.

Nearly 11 lakh people have participated in the campaign by giving a missed call. This number was distributed to people across the country through various media.

The number was released on Tuesday when the Aam Aadmi Party won the Delhi Assembly elections with an overwhelming majority.

The Bharatiya Janata Party was the key opposition of the Aam Aadmi Party. The AAP won a historic 62 seats in the results of the election on Tuesday. Whereas, the BJP has got just eight seats.

Kejriwal writes to LG, staking claim to form govt in Delhi

Arvind Kejriwal wrote to Delhi Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal on Wednesday, staking claim to form the government in the national capital, sources said, while hinting that the AAP might not invite senior leaders and chief ministers of other parties for the oath-taking ceremony.

The sources said it was the formal process by the AAP chief, who was elected as the legislature party leader earlier in the day, to stake claim for forming the new government.

Kejriwal, who returned to power in Delhi with a stunning poll victory on Tuesday, will take oath as chief minister for the third consecutive time on February 16.
