Cuttack: The Odisha government has made up its mind to CCTV cameras in all the HSC examination centres scattered across the State from next year to curb examination malpractice.
The department has adopted zero tolerance towards exam malpractice. As part of its policy for the conduct of HSC examination in a smooth and fair manner, the department has decided to bring all centres under CCTV surveillance, said the principal Secretary, Schools & Mass Education Department, Pradipta Kumar Mohapatra.
We want qualitative improvement in secondary education. The students need to work hard to come out successful instead of resorting to unfair means to pass out in examination. With the installation of these instruments, malpractice will be caught on cameras. And the examinees caught on the camera will be debarred from sitting in the exam further, he added.
