Know! All about Bohra muslim community……

New Delhi:The regional leadership of the Congress is also busy in trying to get Rahul Gandhi there.

Though the effective presence of the Bohra community in Madhya Pradesh is only in three cities-Indore, Ujjain and Burhanpur, but the importance of the Bohra community for the BJP and Congress is more than their votes, notes received in the form of election funds from Syedna Is of

It is said that Sayyidna has been giving the fat money to the two parties in the form of a huge amount of money collected from the money collected from his followers in different forms, therefore it is not surprising that the submission of the title of the leadership of the two major parties .

However, the transactions of money received by the parties from Sayyidana are undeclared. The main thing is that for the first time a Prime Minister reached Bohra Dharmaguru in this way. Before this, no prime minister has offered such a presence in the presidency of Sayyidna.

However, the then Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru in 1960 had gone to inaugurate an educational institute of Dawoodi Bohra community in Surat, Gujarat, where he met the 51st Syedna Tahir Saifuddin. Syedna and his closest followers are still promoting the photograph of that meeting till date.

Master not ruler in a way:

Sayedna has a different status in his community against other religious leaders, in a way he is the ruler of his community. While living with his vast fortress in his grand and huge house in the Saifee palace, he himself uses every modern physical facilities, but his manner of governing his community followers is like the medieval kings-Nawabs.

Their appointment is also not based on eligibility or democratic way, but under dynastic system, which is not in conformity with Islamic principles.

Irfan Engineer, the leader of the reformist Bohra movement, wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi requesting him to be a Prime Minister of a secular and democratic country, he should avoid joining the ‘controversial’ religious leader like Syedna. But of course Modi has turned down his appeal.

 History of Bohra community:

The legacy of the Dawoodi Bohra community is associated with the Fatimid imams, who are considered to be descendants of Prophet Hazrat Mohammad (570-632). This community mainly keeps its reverence for the Imams. 21st and last Imam of Dawoodi Bohras was Tayyab Abu Qasim. After 1132, the tradition of spiritual gurus started, which is called Dai-al-Mutalq Sayyadna.

Dai-al-Mutalak means the super authority – the supreme power, in which no inner or external power can be controlled in the Nizam or its order can not be challenged anywhere. Not even in government or court.

The Dawoodi Bohra community is generally well-educated, diligent, business and prosperous, as well as a modern lifestyle, but at the same time he is considered a religious community.

Because of his religious beliefs, he is sincerely adhering to his religious leader and maintaining strict adherence to his every ‘right-wrong’ orders.

Syedna’s legality dispute in court:

Members of the current Syedna family have challenged them to become their sympathizers in the Bombay High Court. Dr. Mohammed Burhanuddin, father of the present Syedna Muftikam Saifuddin, was 52st Syedna.

According to the tradition, he had to decide his successor, but due to a sudden illness in 2012, he was not able to appoint his successor due to his illness, but he gave his younger brother Khujema Qutbuddin as Majum i.e. Had just been appointed.

According to Abdul Ali, the younger son of Khusema Qutbuddin, Dr. Mohammed Burhanuddin had appointed his brother Khujema Qutbuddin as his mission only after 28 days of taking over the position of Syedna in 1965. It is said that if Syedna formally seeks his help without declaring the name of his successor, then in such situation his Majum is assumed to be the next Sayyed, but after the death of 52th Syedna Dr. Burhanuddin in February 2014, it is not so. Happened. His son Muftikam Saifuddin, ignoring his uncle’s claim, took over his father’s succession and declared himself the 53rd Sayyadana.

On the other hand, Khujeema Qutbuddin also declared 53rd Sayyadana, describing him as his natural heir as being the 52th Sayyadana’s Majesty and challenged his nephew’s claim in the Bombay High Court in June 2014.

Despite repeated notice of the court, Muftaheed Saifuddin did not appear in the court. During this trial, Khusema Qutbuddin died on March 30, 2016, because he had declared his son Tahir Fakhruddin as the successor before his death, Tahir Fakhruddin took over his place and he declared himself as the 54th Syedna done.

Immediately after the death of his uncle, Muftik Saifuddin requested the court through his lawyer that since now Khusema Qutbuddin has died, the trial should be dismissed.
Tahir Fakhruddin objected to this While accepting his objection, the court dismissed the appeal of Mufafail Saifuddin and ordered that the case will continue.

Indigenous foreign adherents:

It is said that Tahir Saifuddin does not have much support in Indian boats, but a section of the Dawoodi Bohra Muslims settled in America, England, Australia, Egypt, Saudi Arabia etc. consider him his 54th syllable.

Abdul Ali believes that even though the majority of Dawoodi Bohras of India still consider Muftaq Saifuddin as his helper but the court will accept his brother Tahir Fakhruddin’s claim because our side is very strong and justified.

Case of circumcision of young girls:

In addition to the succession lawsuit of 52th Syedna, Muftik Saifuddin is facing a serious trial in the Supreme Court. This lawsuit is related to the circumcision of young girls in the community of Dawoodi Bohra (Female Genital Mutilation).
In the Dawoodi Bohra community, the challenge has been challenged in the Supreme Court, stating that the longstanding long tradition of religion is inhuman.

On this tradition issued by the order of the Dawoodi Bohra community priest, Msuma Ranlavi, Pune resident associated with the same reformist class of the community, says that there is no mention of such a tradition in the Quran or hadith.

“This is a very inhuman way, it has been declared a crime in the United States, Britain and Australia, and in Australia, the representative of Amil Sayyadna’s representative has been sent to jail for forcefully pressuring the case. Similarly, in America, a doctor who circumcised the child has also suffered a jail burn. “

Central Government not in favor of circumcision:

The Supreme Court has asked the Center to issue a notice on the PIL filed in this regard along with issuing a notice to the Central Government, even though the Central Government has asked the Supreme Court in its reply that it is not in favor of such a tradition. , But the religious group of the Bohra community still believes that the central government will change its approach.

Abdul Ali, the younger brother of Tahir Fakhruddin, who gave his 54th Sayyidna, says in this matter, “circumcision of the daughters” is not a religious tradition, we believe that the circumcision of the girls upto the age of 18 should not be in any way. And after the age of 18, it should depend on the person’s wishes. “

Syedna’s socio-religious system:

Wherever Bohra religious people have settled in India and abroad, their messengers are appointed by Syedna, who are called Amil. These are all the means of transmitting the cause of Sayydana to the people of your community and also implement it.

On the local level, social and religious activities are also controlled. After a certain period these amils are also transferred from one place to another.

According to the arrangement made by Bohra Dharmaguru Sayyadna, the Raza (permission) of Sayydana is mandatory for every social, religious, family and business work in the Bohra community and it has to pay the prescribed fee to get this permission.

Marriage, marriage of children, foreign travel, hajj, start of new business, funeral of deceased kin, etc., everything is possible only with the permission of Sayyidna and after paying fixed fee.

Not only that, a large portion of Syedna’s followers have to pay a large amount of money to keep their hands on their heads and kissing them (take the bosah). Apart from this, every person in the society has to give a certain part of their annual income in the form of charity.

All these money collected through the amils are deposited in the treasure of Syedna.
Sayyidna is the owner of unaccounted money
Dai-al-Mutalak iyi Sayyidna Dawoodi is not only the supreme spiritual priest of Bohr, but also the main trustee of all social, religious, educational and transitional trusts of the community.

Through these trusts, there is the management and control of all the mosques, picnics, educational institutions, hospitals, dargahs and graveyards of the community.
The total assets of these trusts are reported to be more than fifty thousand crores.

Workers associated with the reformist movement of the Bohra society say that no democratic accounting of the money collected by these trusts and the people of the society in different ways is presented to the people of the society.

While Sayyidan’s supporters claim that the money is used for the use of educational institutions and hospitals and other charitable works.

The fate of the person (or the social boycott) of his family or his family who violate the arrangement made by Sayyadana is released by Sayyadana. According to the command of Sayyidna, any person from the society, from a disadvantaged person or family, can not have any relation at any level.

A excluded person can not be involved in a marriage or a marriage in his family or society, nor in any miyat (funeral). If a person dies in a disadvantaged family, his body is not buried in the graveyard of the Bohra community.

ITS card i.e. parallel Aadhaar card:
Over the last few years, on the orders of Sayyidna, the introduction letter of every person (from new born children to the elderly) has been started. Based on the basis of Aadhaar card, every person can enter the mosque, dormitory, mausafarakhana, graveyard etc. through this ITS (Eartul-compliant al-Shakhsi) card created from the computer.

Through this card, arrangements have been made to monitor every social activity of every person in the society in a way. Any person whose activity is found to be questionable even on the criterion of religion class, its ITS card is blocked. Once the card has been blocked, the entry of the person’s mosque, dormitory, munafirkhana, graveyard etc., is automatically prohibited.

On behalf of Sayyidana, this modern system of social exclusion of a person was invented. Hundreds of Bohra families in cities like Udaipur, Mumbai, Pune, Surat, Godhra etc. are currently victims of social boycott.

History of the reformist Bohra movement and present:

In fact, the reformist movement in the Dawoodi Bohra community was started by Nauman Ali Contractor in the 1960s. During this period, the movement did not get much emphasis, but after the demise of this movement, when the movement was assumed by Dr Asghar Ali Engineer in the 1980s, this movement was expanded rapidly.

The engineer visited all those countries, where the Dawoodi settlers are settled. Not only that, he also associated many famous intellectuals, human rights activists, former judges, writers and artists in the country with their agitation, but after his death the movement got frosty.

Who are Dawoodi Bohra?

Bohra ‘is a part of the Gujarati word’ waaurau ‘meaning’ trade ‘, this community is part of the Mutsali vote, which came from India in 11th century through religious missionaries through religious preachers.

After 1539 when the community expanded in India, these people brought their headquarters from Yaman to Siddhpur (Gujarat) of India. After the death of the 30th Syedna in 1588, there was a difference of opinion between his descendants, Dawood bin Qutb Shah and Suleiman Shah, the title of the Syedna and the title of the throne, which resulted in two defections and divided into two followers.

Dawood bin Qutub Shah, who believed in Dawoodi Bohra and Suleiman, was considered to be called Sultani Bohra, in the Sulaimani Bohra number, which was very low against the Dawoodi Bohras, and after some time his chief priest converted his headquarters in Yemen and the religious leaders of Dawoodi Bohras Headquarters in Mumbai became established

It is said that during the 46th cleric of Dawoodi Bohras, this community was divided and two other branches were established. At present, the total population of the Bohra community in India is around 20 lakh, in which more than 1.2 million Dawoodi Bohra, and the remaining eight lakhs comprise the Bohra of other branches.

Despite dividing into two opinions, there is no special fundamental difference between the religious principles of Dawoodi and Sultani Bohr. Both communities have special faith in the Sufis and the mazars.

Sulemani, also called Sunni Bohra, Hanifi implements Islamic law, while the Dawoodi Bohra community is a sub-community of the Ismaili Shiite community, and brings the powers of Daem-ul-Islam to the conquest.

This community is a community connected with its ancient traditions, which includes only getting married in your own community. Many Hindu practices can also be seen in their social behavior.

In India, Dawoodi Bohra is mainly in Surat, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Jamnagar, Rajkot, Navsari, Dahod, Godhra, Maharashtra in Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Aurangabad, Udaipur, Rajasthan, Bhilwara, Madhya Pradesh, Indore, Burhanpur, Ujjain, Shajapur Apart from this, there are also metropolitan cities like Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad.

In addition to the Sindh province of Pakistan, they have a very large number in the UK, USA, Australia, Dubai, Egypt, Iraq, Yemen and Saudi Arabia.
