Night Temperature To Rise In Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Night temperature is likely to rise following flow of the southwesterly wind in the lower atmosphere over Odisha from Monday, according to the Centre for Environment and Climate (CEC), SOA Deemed to be University, here.

The flow of southwesterly wind is expected to support increase in night temperature, a CEC bulletin said adding the present cold wave condition was being experienced because of flow of northwesterly wind from north India in the lower atmosphere towards Odisha.

The bulletin said the probability of fog in the morning might continue from January 15 due to flow of moisture from both the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea.

Light rainfall might occur in the districts of Jajpur, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj from January 18, it said.
