“People are not able to trust on technology”, says Akhilesh while raises question on EVM

Azamgarh: Samajwadi Party (SP) President Akhilesh Yadav has demanded immediate action from the Election Commission, expressing concern over the failure of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) in Uttar Pradesh in the second phase of Lok Sabha elections.

During the second phase of polling, complaint of EVM malfunction came from several places, said Akhilesh after filing his nomination from here.

He said that it is the responsibility of the commission that if there is an information of EVM rigging, then they should change the machine maximum in 15 minutes to complete the voting on time.

Akhilesh once again raised the question on the EVM that people are not able to trust technology. The commission and the government should rely on this in this regard. Many parties, including the SP, the BSP have kept their side in the Supreme Court. The truth is that ballot boxes are now used in the world where EVMs were used for polling.
