New Delhi: A major bug has been reported in World’s most widely used messaging app WhatsApp. According to a report, the Israeli company is installing malware by a missed call using some government level tool.
This security vulnerability of WhatsApp can make a target user’s smartphone infected through spyware. The spyware can be installed just by a phone call on the target number.
Once hacked, User’s smartphone personal data can be accessed including chats, calls, microphones, cameras, photos and contacts. According to WhatsApp, they have fixed the security vulnerability and Users can now use WhatsApp without any hassle.
According to The Financial Times report, the Israeli company belongs to the Israeli NSO Group, which is used against the Pegasus software.
